Power Consumption: Optimized for energy-saving operations, minimizing long-term costs.
Key Design Features:
- Flat Top: Enables cranes to automatically or semi automatically grab the ejected blocks.
- Exposed Lifting Arms: Underneath the blocks at all times, for faster hygiene and wash down operations.
- Stronger Design: The very nature of the design means it is stronger than a standard VPF, e.g. no bent lifting arms from poor defrosts.
- Adjustable Block Height: The block height can be adjusted for customers requiring different block sizes for different products.
- Welded Dividers: Fixed, welded block dividers to minimise handling and reload times.

Options Available
Stainless Steel Framework – Standard
The Jackstone Flat Top plate freezer is designed with a hybrid Stainless Steel and Galvanized frame, offering an optimal blend of durability and hygiene.
The primary structure is made entirely from 304L Stainless Steel, Galvanized lifting arms & ejection frame – which are located under the food contact area at all times to ensure maximum hygiene.
As with our other freezers, all fixings & fittings, hydraulics and hoses are Stainless Steel.
Adjustable Front Spacer – Standard
The adjustable front spacer option (shown here with a lower drip loss option) features a front spacer between the freezing plates which can be adjusted tight to the lifting arm plastic and help form a tighter fit. Any wear over the years can be accounted for by readjusting the spacers.
The lower drip loss option features an Aluminium bottom part which can form a “frozen seal” for less viscous products.
Extended Cleaning Lift – Not needed
Since the lifting arms are positioned under the plates and are pushed from below, they are fully exposed when in the lowered position.
This enables quick and easy cleaning.
Plate / Defrost Sensor
The plate / defrost temperature sensor records the plate temperature. It’s main use is to prevent over and under defrosting. A common application is the “lock out” the hydraulics electrically until the sensor reads approx 5°C during defrosting and then allows the freezer to be unloaded.
All temperature sensor options us Thermocouple sensors and come with a 4-20mA signal conditioner for easy wiring.
Product Temperature Sensor
The product temperature option allows for recording and checking product temperatures. Since the top of the block is the last part to freeze, it is designed so you can easily place it in the top of the food you’re freezing.
